The Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden is a unique 127-acre of land that is dedicated to sharing the beauty of nature and wildlife with the population. With over half a million visitors each year, this organization needed a way to store member data, as well as streamline the online ticket purchase process.
While the arboretum didn’t have to close its doors during the pandemic, its online sales increased.
Managing all of the guests, membership accounts, individual information, and ticket event details were becoming increasingly difficult as more events were added. The light show brought in an additional 3,000 guests per night and assistance beyond what Altru could provide was needed. Additionally, the process wasn’t smooth and was causing problems for users online as well as creating some duplicate accounts when members tried to log in to their accounts.
While looking for a solution to the problem of hands-free scanning, the botanic garden came into contact with Social Good and realized that their modules would be a great solution to many of the problems they were facing. And a game plan to redesign the web forms for the big Light Show became the main focus. Data quality became vital to the success of the organization and this became a top priority moving forward.
